About the estate
The Tenute Squarcialupi estate is located in the medieval village of Castellina in Chianti in Tuscany and has been owned by the Targioni-Bojola family since 1980. The vineyards are situated around Castellina as well as in the Tuscan Maremma, with organic farming practiced since 2008 and organic certification achieved from the 2020 vintage. The portfolio features wines from the Chianti Classico DOCG, Maremma Toscana DOC, Toscana IGT, and Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC denominations. In the cellar, the estate applies both traditional and experimental techniques such as amphora ageing, prolonged maceration, the exclusion of animal-derived fining agents, and the production of wines without added sulfites.
