About the estate
The Musto Carmelitano estate in Maschito, Basilicata, is a family-run winery in its third generation, managed since 2005 by Elisabetta and Luigi. The estate spans 13 hectares, with four hectares cultivated organically with Aglianico del Vulture grapes for the DOC denomination. Vinification is natural, featuring hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and no chemical interventions. The modern winery in the village center houses stainless steel and concrete vats, as well as a barrel cellar for aging. Every stage of production is personally supervised by the owners with the support of oenologist Sebastiano Fortunato.
