The Carbone Vini winery is located in Melfi, Basilicata, situated above the historic Toppo san Paolo crater of the Vulture volcanic complex. The region benefits from its secluded character and fertile soils formed by pyroclastic material that are rich in potassium. The Aglianico grape variety thrives exceptionally well on this unique substrate. A temperate-cold climate combined with the warm southern sun and cooler evening air promotes the development of elegance and pleasant acidity.
