About the estate

The family estate Cantina il Passo is situated in the heart of Vulture in Basilicata, tracing its origins back to the late nineteenth century. On volcanic soils along the slopes of Mount Vulture, the winery cultivates the Aglianico del Vulture grape variety. The wines are aged within a distinctive volcanic rock cave. In addition to viticulture, the family manages olive groves and cereal fields. The estate covers four hectares of vineyards dedicated to the production of Aglianico del Vulture DOC.
