About the estate
The Montoro e Selvole estate is located in the heart of Tuscany in Greve in Chianti between Florence and Siena. To preserve the typicality of the wine, new vines were grafted using buds from old mother vines selected by the grandfather. The Chianti Classico DOCG matures in old casks and is produced from a blend of Sangiovese and Canaiolo nero grapes. In addition to winemaking, the property cultivates an olive grove covering about two hectares at an altitude of approximately 300 meters. The olives are harvested by hand from late October to late November, followed by cold and unfiltered pressing at the estate.
