About the estate

The Meritxell Pallejà winery is located in Gratallops within the Priorat DOQ region and traces its roots back to family history in Falset and Reus. In 2004, the estate began bottling its first young wine, Nita, which laid the foundation for its subsequent growth. Today, the estate farms its own vineyards on shallow, mineral-rich llicorella soils formed by metamorphic rock formations. The traditional and environmentally respectful working methods include avoiding pesticides, manual and mechanical tillage, and following lunar cycles for vineyard management and harvest timing. The portfolio focuses on indigenous grape varieties such as Garnatxa and Carinyena, yielding hand-harvested and expressive wines.
