About the estate
The Loxarel winery, located in Vilobí del Penedès within the Penedès DO denomination, practices biodynamic viticulture guided by the cycles of the moon. The estate is situated at the Can Mayol property, which houses an underground shelter built during the Spanish Civil War that now serves as the cellar for aging sparkling wines. Loxarel is a pioneer in recovering the use of clay amphorae for fermenting wines and sparkling wines following ancient traditions. This vessel usage yields authentic, fresh, creamy, and mineral-driven wines that authentically convey the expression of the fruit and the land.
