About the estate

The La Vecchia Posta estate is located in Avolasca in the southeastern part of the Piedmont region within the Colli Tortonesi denomination. This family-run winery cultivates three hectares of vineyards, which have been managed organically according to ICEA standards for 27 years. The grape variety portfolio includes classic Piedmontese varieties such as Barbera, Dolcetto, and Cortese, alongside the native Timorasso-Derthona. Winemaking focuses on careful agricultural practices and minimal technological intervention in the cellar, with all grapes harvested by hand. The agricultural activities are further complemented by the breeding of rare local livestock breeds, a large vegetable garden, and an orchard.

The eno directory lists 8 wines, mostly from Timorasso and Barbera. Export markets include Switzerland, Germany and Belgium.
