About the estate
The Khashmi Winery is a family cellar located in the village of Khashmi in the Iori Valley of Georgia, producing wine according to ancient Georgian traditions. The vineyards situated on the soils of Karabulakhi feature ungrafted rootstocks and are farmed without artificial fertilizers, systemic chemicals, or irrigation. Varieties such as Saperavi, Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane are hand-harvested and carefully selected on sorting tables. In the cellar, the wines ferment and mature traditionally in Qvevris, which are large clay pots buried deep in the ground, resulting in natural, unfiltered wines produced entirely without additives or added sulfites.
