About the estate
The family-owned Ikalto Traditional Winery is rooted in the historic villages of Ruispiri and Kakheti, drawing on a long family tradition in viticulture. Across 65 hectares of vineyards, the estate cultivates native grape varieties such as Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Kisi, Khikhvi, and Kakhuri Mtsvane. The wines are aged in traditional clay vessels known as Qvevris as well as in oak barrels, combining ancient Georgian techniques with advanced European winemaking technology. The property features a traditional wine cellar and distributes its wines to international markets.
The eno directory lists 27 wines, mostly from Kisi and Mtsvane.
