About the estate

The Heywang Jean et Hubert estate is a family-run winery founded in the 1950s in Heiligenstein, Alsace, and is currently managed by Hubert Heywang and his family. Spanning seven hectares of hillside vineyards, the estate cultivates ten different grape varieties organically, with a particular focus on the regional specialty Klevener de Heiligenstein made from Savagnin Rose. Farming practices exclude chemical fertilizers and pesticides, relying instead on strict yield control and hand-harvesting across all parcels. In the cellar, natural vinification and extended aging are emphasized to produce characterful wines and age-worthy Grands Crus. The annual production of approximately 35,000 bottles is marketed directly to private customers, restaurants, and wine merchants.
