About the estate
The family-run estate Heiden Franz cultivates around 1.5 hectares of vineyards in a sunny location in the South Burgenland wine region on the Eisenberg. For forty years, quality winegrowing has been practiced here part-time in an ecological and soil-conserving manner. The range focuses primarily on the region-typical Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling, supplemented by Zweigelt, Merlot, and Uhudler. The Pannonian climate, iron-rich loam and slate soils, and traditional wooden barrel aging shape the character of the red wines. The white wines, by contrast, mature briefly in stainless steel tanks to preserve their youthful freshness.
