About the estate
The Jalits estate is managed in the fifth generation by Mathias Jalits in Badersdorf on the Eisenberg in southern Burgenland. The family-run winery cultivates its vineyards with a focus on organic farming, producing region-typical wines with an emphasis on Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling holding Eisenberg DAC status. The wines are characterized by mineral and powerful profiles that reflect the character of their origin. The winemaker is supported by his parents as well as a dedicated team on site. The wines are distributed through partners in Austria and internationally.
The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling. Export markets include Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and Belgium.
