About the estate
The family-run Giani Boner Weinkellerei estate in Malans, German-speaking Switzerland, manages four and a half hectares of vineyards situated on steep, south-southwest-facing slopes with calcareous slate soils. Managed in the third generation, the winery relies on traditional cultivation with extensive manual labor as well as modern insights from research and practice. The grape varieties cultivated include Pinot Noir, Syrah, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and ungrafted, own-rooted Completer vines that are over one hundred years old. In the winery located in the village center, exclusively estate-grown grapes are processed, with wines matured in tanks or barriques. The annual production comprises around thirty thousand bottles, which are distributed to private customers, gastronomic establishments, and selected wine retailers.
