About the estate
The Georgian Wine House is a family-operated company run by the Aliashvili family, continuing a winemaking tradition that dates back to 1864. The estate's vineyards are located in the Kakheti region in the village of Pkhoveli at 850 meters above sea level and are cultivated exclusively with bio preparations. Production follows the traditional Georgian Kvevri method, featuring grape pressing in a traditional press and fermentation in underground earthenware vessels. The winery produces five different wine varieties annually, including Khikhvi, Kisi, Rkatsiteli, Kisi-Khikhvi, and Saperavi, in limited bottle quantities. Distribution takes place mainly through the estate's own wine cellar and selected restaurants in Tbilisi, while new opportunities for export are being considered.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Khikhvi and Kisi. The estate sells to horeca.
