About the estate
The Fend Serge estate looks back on a family history dating back to 1886. The winery cultivates six hectares of vineyards on the Marlenheim hill at the northern gateway to the Alsace wine route and has been converting to organic farming since 2018. To care for the vines, the winemaker relies on manual labor, soil cultivation using a draft horse, and the preservation of hedges and trees to promote biodiversity. In the cellar, vinification is carried out using native yeasts and partially in barriques to produce wines within the AOC Alsace and AOC Alsace Grand Cru denominations.
The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Gewürztraminer and Riesling. The estate sells to retail.
