About the estate
The Famille Laplace estate cultivates 58 hectares of vineyards in the south-west of France within the AOC Madiran and AOC Pacherenc du Vic Bilh appellations. Since 1927, four generations of the winemaking family have run the property at Château Aydie as owner-growers. The vineyards are distributed across a variety of terroirs with different soil types including gravel, pebbles, and limestone. For the red wines, Tannat forms the foundation alongside Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Fer Servadou. The white wines of the AOC Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellation are produced from the local grape varieties Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, Arrufiac, and Petit Courbu.
