The Fabio Motta winery in Castagneto Carducci was founded by Fabio Motta in 2009 and spans 9.62 hectares of vineyards in Bolgheri. Sandy-clay soils and cooling sea breezes shape this terroir where nine grape varieties, including Merlot, Sangiovese, Vermentino, and Cabernet Sauvignon, are farmed sustainably. The production includes four wines under the Bolgheri DOC, Bolgheri Rosso DOC, Bolgheri Rosso Superiore DOC, Bolgheri Superiore DOC, and Toscana IGT designations. Vinification and aging take place in amphorae, concrete vats, or oak barrels, tailored to the specific characteristics of each vintage and variety.
