About the estate
The Fornacelle estate is located on the Tuscan coast within the Bolgheri wine region and traces its history back to the late nineteenth century, when the founder acquired the first plot of land. Today, the family-run winery is managed by the fourth generation and spans a total area of 15 hectares, with vineyards situated on the plains near Castagneto Carducci. The estate practises sustainable agriculture, taking into account the diverse soil characteristics, including sandy, stony, and marine sedimentary deposits. Cultivated grape varieties for red and white wines include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Fiano. Winemaking focuses on respecting the territorial characteristics of the grapes and preserving the distinct profile of each vintage.
