About the estate

The Domaine Saint-Apollinaire estate is located in the northeast of the Vaucluse at the foot of Puyméras facing Mount Ventoux in the Rhône Valley. The family business has been passed down through generations and cultivates twelve hectares of vineyards within the Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages appellations. Frédéric Daumas pioneered the biodynamic approach, which has been applied consistently in the vineyard and cellar since 1967. The farming methods include avoiding synthetic fertilizers, maintaining cover crops, and harvesting the grapes entirely by hand. In the cellar, fermentation relies exclusively on indigenous yeasts without the addition of synthetic chemicals.
