About the estate

The Domaine Pierre Fonjallaz estate has been based in Epesses since 1552 and is run as a family business across generations. Covering a vineyard area of 2.5 hectares across the terroirs of Epesses, Calamin, Dézaley, and St-Saphorin, the winery cultivates Chasselas, Merlot, Viognier, Diolinoir, Gamay, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir. Vineyard management follows biodynamic principles utilizing gentle, manual methods and maintaining a closed nutrient cycle without external fertilizers. In the cellar, the wines are crafted with minimal intervention, with Chasselas white wines aged in metal vats and other wines matured in oak barrels. The production includes wines from the controlled designations of origin AOC Calamin Grand Cru, AOC Dézaley Grand Cru, AOC Epesses, AOC Lavaux, AOC St-Saphorin, and AOC Vaud.
