Domaine le Parrain

About the estate

The Domaine le Parrain estate cultivates a unique vineyard in Chardonne located within the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lavaux. Since 1990, the property has been managed as a family business, producing wines under the AOC Lavaux and AOC Vaud denominations. Following a hailstorm in 2005 that destroyed the original vines, the plots were replanted with disease-resistant interspecific grape varieties. Vineyard management relies entirely on non-mechanized cultivation, manual harvesting, and hand-sorting of every single grape bunch. The estate continuously applies environmentally friendly practices and aims for organic certification.
