Domaine Hertz Victor

About the estate

The family-owned Domaine Hertz Victor estate is located in the heart of Alsace on the edge of the hills of Colmar and is run from father to daughter. Farming follows sustainable principles, and the estate is certified as Haute Valeur Environnementale as well as being a member of the Vigneron Indépendant association. Following selective harvesting in the vineyards, the grapes are pressed whole and gently, which is then followed by spontaneous fermentation and aging on the fine lees at the estate. The destemmed red wine grapes undergo a maceration period of several days to extract color and tannins. The portfolio includes wines under the designations AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru, AOC Alsace Grand Cru Pfersigberg, AOC Alsace Grand Cru Steingrubler, and AOC Crémant d'Alsace.
