About the estate

The Domaine Fritz-Schmitt estate in Ottrott, Alsace, looks back on a family history that began in 1905 with the production of the first wines. The winery is managed across generations and cultivates parcels with diverse exposures, soils, and grape varieties. Since 2015, the estate has operated according to organic farming principles, featuring mechanical weed management and predominantly manual harvesting. White wines undergo low-temperature fermentation and aging on fine lees, while red wines experience a maceration phase followed by maturation in traditional wooden casks or oak barrels.
