About the estate
The Domaine du Loou estate is located in La Roquebrussanne in Provence and has a history dating back to Roman times and the former ownership of the Abbey of Saint-Victor in Marseille. In 1956, Dominique Di Placido acquired the land, which is now run as a family business by his children and grandchildren. The contiguous vineyard covers 60 hectares at an altitude of 300 meters within the AOC Coteaux Varois en Provence denomination. The estate farms its vineyards organically, cultivating grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Rolle, and Sémillon. In the cellar, the grapes undergo mechanical night harvesting followed by vinification in stainless steel and concrete tanks, as well as oak barrels for red wines.
