About the estate

The family-owned Domaine de Viranel estate is located in the heart of Languedoc and has been passed down through generations for centuries. Spanning 40 hectares of vineyards, the estate features three main soil types consisting of rolled pebbles, limestone terraces, and schist as well as sandstone gravel. The Mediterranean climate, combined with the influence of the Cévennes and the Tramontane wind, provides optimal conditions for grape maturation. The winery practices sustainable agriculture, balancing traditional methods with modern cellar equipment to produce red, rosé, and white wines. The portfolio includes wines distributed under the Saint-Chinian appellation, among others.
