Domaine de Marotte

About the estate

The Domaine de Marotte estate is located near Carpentras at the foot of Mont Ventoux and has been run by the van Dijkman family since 1998. The historical centre of the property is a fortified monastic farmhouse dating back to the late 16th century. Spanning 28 hectares of vineyards, with the oldest plot dating from 1902, the estate features diverse soils ranging from clay-rich to stony plots. The winery has been operating organically for years, focusing on manual or mechanical weeding and on-site composting. Fermentation takes place in the estate's own cellar primarily in stainless steel tanks, followed by pneumatic pressing and bottling directly on the property.
