About the estate

The family-run Domaine de Malarrode estate is located in the AOC Jurançon appellation in the Béarn region, situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees mountains. This geographical position provides the property with a particularly generous amount of sunshine, allowing the grapes to accumulate natural sugars effectively. In the mid-1980s, Gaston Mansanne returned to his native region to take over and modernize the family enterprise alongside his father Jean. During this period of restructuring, older vineyards and fruit trees were gradually cleared to continuously improve the quality of the winemaking operation.
