About the estate
The family-owned Domaine de Magnaut estate is situated in Fources within the Gers department in Gascony and encompasses a vineyard area of 45 hectares. The diverse soils of the estate comprise sandy-ferruginous valley floors, fine clay slopes, and well-exposed clay-limestone plateaus. Approximately eighty percent of the vineyard area is planted with white grape varieties, including Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, and Sauvignon Blanc and Gris. Red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat, and Syrah account for the remainder of the surface. The estate is managed by Jean-Marie Terraube alongside his wife Cécile, producing Côtes de Gascogne wines, Floc de Gascogne, and Armagnac spirits.
The eno directory lists 2 wines, mostly from Syrah.
