About the estate

The Domaine de la Vieille Forge manages a vineyard area of ten hectares in the heart of Alsace, spread across plots in various municipalities such as Beblenheim and Riquewihr. One third of the vineyards are located on renowned grand cru sites including Sporen, Sonnenglanz, Mandelberg, and Schoenenbourg. The estate's portfolio comprises wines from the AOC Alsace, AOC Alsace Grand Cru, and AOC Crémant d'Alsace appellations. Farming practices involve a reduced use of herbicides and deliberate soil cover to encourage deep root growth. Harvesting is carried out exclusively by hand, followed by gentle pressing and slow fermentation on the fine lees.
