Domaine de Babio

About the estate

The Domaine de Babio estate is located in the hamlet of Babio within the commune of La Caunette in the heart of the Haut-Minervois region. Situated at an altitude of 200 meters on the foothills of the Black Mountain, the vineyards benefit from generous sunshine. The property was taken over in 2003 by trained oenologist Cécile Weissenbach, who focuses on low yields and environmentally friendly cultivation methods. The grapes are predominantly harvested by hand and traditionally vinified to produce wines characterized by depth and finesse. Since 2017, the estate has been engaged in a conversion process to organic farming utilizing mechanical weeding.
