Domaine David Ermel

About the estate

The Domaine David Ermel estate has been managed in family tradition since 1795 and is currently led by the ninth generation with brothers David and François. The property cultivates fourteen hectares of vineyards located in Hunawihr and the neighboring community of Ribeauvillé, protected from oceanic influences by the Vosges mountains. The soils predominantly consist of heavy, stony marly limestone formations, which include the Grand Cru Rosacker site. The winery operates under environmental protection standards with controlled yields and natural soil management. Harvesting is done manually, followed by gentle pressing and aging on fine lees.

The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Riesling and Gewürztraminer. Export markets include Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands.
