The Die Weinstadt - Johannes Gruber winery is located in Mittelberg near Langenlois in the Kamptal region and has been operated by a career changer since 2002. The vines grow on primary rock and loam soils at high altitudes, ranging from steep terraces to flat soils. The focus is on organic viticulture with manual harvesting and a stable ecosystem in the vineyard. In the wine cellar, fermentation is carried out as far as possible using natural yeasts and the use of sulfur dioxide is kept low. The portfolio particularly includes complex wines from the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling grape varieties.
