About the estate

The Peter Schweiger estate in Langenlois is run by Peter Schweiger and his son Peter Junior in the fifth generation, tracing its history back to 1944. Across 26 hectares of vineyards, father and son cultivate sites with soils featuring primary rock, schist, loess, and weathered desert sandstone. The cultivation focuses on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling as well as the autochthonous variety Zweigelt. The wines are given sufficient time to mature in the cellar before entering the market following appropriate bottle aging. The winery places great importance on environmentally friendly and sustainable viticulture crafts.
