About the estate

The Hirsch estate in Kammern in the Kamptal region looks back on a long history and is currently run in the fifth generation by Johannes Hirsch and his family. The winery has fully specialised in the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling grape varieties after all red varieties were cleared in 1999. The vineyards are farmed biodynamically, placing great emphasis on the region and the distinct characteristics of the soils. In the cellar, the focus lies on allowing the wines to retain their unique individuality. The centrepiece of operations is a historic tithe barn dating from the high Renaissance.

The eno directory lists 21 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The estate sells to retail.
