The D.S. bio di Danilo Scenna estate in Pescosolido in the Lazio region unites the passion for viticulture and the breeding of Haflinger and Esperia Pony horses. The certified organic and biodynamic winery specializes in indigenous grape varieties such as Maturano, Pampanaro, Lecinaro, and uva giulia. Vineyard management relies largely on manual labor or the assistance of horses to keep mechanization to a minimum. Winemaking follows a similar approach, with fermentation and aging in concrete tanks and rackings performed by gravity according to the lunar phases.
