Clos des Roches

About the estate

The Clos des Roches estate is managed by François Joly in Aran, in the heart of the Lavaux region overlooking Lake Geneva. The vineyards are situated on steep terraces at altitudes between 390 and 450 meters on soils containing active limestone, clay, and molasse. Chasselas accounts for the majority of the production, complemented by Pinot Noir, Plant-Robert, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Sylvaner, and Chardonnay. The vineyards are cultivated with respect for the environment, relying largely on manual labor. Vinification takes place in an adapted eighteenth-century building equipped with a traditional press and cellar.
