About the estate
The Christina & Rainer Wess estate cultivates eight hectares of vineyards situated in prime sites in and around Krems as well as in the Wachau region. The winery is run as an equal duo by father and daughter, with both working together in the cellar. The steep terraced sites such as Pfaffenberg, Kögl and Weinzierlberg are dry and stony. The vineyards are farmed organically, and the grape varieties Riesling, Grüner Veltliner and Pinot Noir are vinified in a puristic style under the Kremstal DAC denomination.
