About the estate

The Chateau de Rousse estate is a historic family-owned property managed across five generations, located in the heart of the Jurançon appellation at an altitude of 330 metres facing the Pyrenees. The vineyards are cultivated on steep terraced slopes with a privileged exposure, with winegrowing traditions dating back to the 15th century. The plantings include Petit Manseng, Gros Manseng, and Courbu, yielding distinctive regional wines such as single-varietal Petit Manseng and complex dry or sweet cuvées. The property carries a rich history as a former hunting lodge of Henry IV and a site once visited by Empress Eugénie.

The eno directory lists 3 wines, mostly from Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng.
