About the estate

The Caveau domaine Lafage estate looks back on a long tradition and is managed by Jean-Marc and Éliane Lafage as heirs to six generations of winemakers. The vineyards extend from the Mediterranean to the foothills of the Pyrenees in Roussillon, featuring native grape varieties and a significant heritage of very old, sometimes centenarian vines. Through detailed geological mapping, cultivation methods are meticulously adapted to the specific characteristics of each micro-terroir, such as the terraced vineyards in the Aspres or the schist soils in the Agly Valley. The winery relies on regenerative viticulture practices and experiments such as agroforestry to adapt farming to climate change. These efforts yield wines that capture the distinct profile of this Catalan region in southern France.
