About the estate
The Cave La Grande-Carree estate has a long history and was acquired by Jean-Jaques Perrochet in 1827. Managed in a direct family lineage, the winery cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards located in the regions of Auvernier and Hauterive. The vines grow on clay-limestone soils along the shores of Lake Neuchatel. Grape varieties such as Chasselas and Pinot Noir are traditionally cultivated on these plots. The grapes are pressed using vertical wooden presses, and the wines are aged in large oak barrels.
