About the estate
The Mathieu Cathala estate is located in Sainte-Valière in the heart of the Minervois and is managed across four generations. The vineyards benefit from agronomic properties with a history dating back to Roman times. The winery applies agro-ecological principles with a strong focus on soil health, winter and spring cover crops, and the promotion of biodiversity. The cuvées combine traditional family expertise with contemporary vinification techniques. A notable project is a special cuvée created in partnership with the Monuments Nationaux, which ages in the keep of the citadel of Carcassonne.

Ce millésime 2024, 100 % grenache aux notes de fruits noirs et rouges, offre une longueur remarquable et une belle complexité pour un monocépage. Son élevage en fûts de chêne américain lui apporte des tanins souples, de la rondeur et des notes de noix de coco et de banane flambée.
