About the estate
The Cascina Gilli estate was founded in 1983 by Gianni Vergnano in Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Piedmont, and is now managed by the next generation. Across eleven hectares of vineyards, the winery primarily cultivates native grape varieties such as Freisa d’Asti, Malvasia di Schierano, Barbera, Bonarda, and Nebbiolo. The vineyards thrive on mineral-rich soils featuring marl, sand, and ancient gypsum formations. The estate's philosophy focuses on respecting nature, preserving regional identity, and applying sustainable methods through integrated production standards. The portfolio features distinctive DOC wines that reflect the unique terroir of the northern Asti area.
