About the estate

The Cascina Garitina estate in Castel Boglione, Piedmont, looks back on a history dating back to 1900 and is managed today in the fourth generation by Gianluca Morino. This family-run winery is deeply rooted in the Alto Monferrato region and dedicates around eighty percent of its vineyards to the Barbera grape variety. The oldest parcels are situated on calcareous sandstone and marl soils, forming the basis for the estate's DOCG wines, most notably the Nizza DOCG line. The portfolio also includes wines produced from grape varieties such as Brachetto, Dolcetto, Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The eno directory lists 10 wines, mostly from Barbera. The estate sells to retail.
