About the estate
The Casa delle Rose estate is located in Ruttars within the Collio Goriziano area and is managed by the Bernot family. Established in 1993, the winery cultivates three hectares of vineyards planted on ponca soils consisting of a stratification of marl and sandstone. The cultivated varieties include white grapes such as Pinot Bianco, Malvasia Istriana, Ribolla Gialla, and Sauvignon, alongside red grapes like Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon. The historical property, with parts dating back to the tenth century, has previously served various functions including a school and the area's first cooperative winery. Winemaking now takes place in a modern, subterranean and stone-clad cellar adjacent to the main villa.
