About the estate
The Venica & Venica winery farms forty hectares of vineyards across the hills of the renowned Collio DOC wine-growing area in the extreme north-east of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Established in 1930, the estate is managed by a family of winemakers through successive generations with a deep commitment to the land. The soils of the sloping vineyards consist of Eocene-origin stratified marl and sandstone known locally as Ponca, which provides distinct microclimates and minerality. The portfolio focuses on varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Ribolla Gialla. Environmental sustainability and the protection of biodiversity are central to the estate's operations, highlighted by participation in national initiatives measuring the environmental impact of viticulture.
