About the estate

The Carpinus Borászat estate is built on a family winemaking heritage with roots tracing back to the 17th century in the Tokaj wine region of Hungary. The vineyards are situated in historically classified grand cru and premier cru sites around the villages of Tarcal, Bodrogkeresztúr and Mád. The portfolio includes dry wines, late harvest selections and Aszú wines crafted from Furmint, Hárslevelű and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery practices organic viticulture with low yields and minimal intervention in the vineyards. All wines reflect the distinct mineral character of the volcanic soils and the provenance of Deák and Lapis.
