About the estate

The Pendits Biodinamikus Szőlőbirtok és Pincészet estate is located in Abaújszántó in the Tokaj wine region and is jointly run as a family business by Marta and her three sons. The vineyards are situated within the historic wine region landscape designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and have been farmed according to biodynamic principles since 2005. In 2008, the winery became the first certified organic estate in Tokaj-Hegyalja and subsequently received Demeter International certification in 2011 as the first winery in Hungary. Vineyard and cellar tasks are carried out taking cosmic forces and the lunar calendar into account. The overarching aim of the estate is to produce wines that reflect the unique characteristics of the wine region, the vineyard site, the grape variety, and the vintage.

The eno directory lists 16 wines, mostly from Furmint and Muskotály.
