About the estate
The Cantine del Notaio estate was founded in 1998 in Rionero in Vulture in the Basilicata region, carrying on the winemaking tradition of the Giuratrabocchetti family across seven generations. The vineyards are situated on the slopes of Mount Vulture and are dedicated to cultivating the Aglianico grape variety. For wine maturation, the winery utilizes natural caves dating back to 1600 carved into volcanic tuff rock, providing exceptional conditions for ageing in French oak barriques. The growing techniques are inspired by biological and biodynamic criteria. The portfolio includes wines from denominations such as Aglianico del Vulture DOC and Basilicata IGT.
