About the estate

The Can Casals winery in Sant Esteve Sesrovires looks back on a history of more than two hundred years, with the first references dating back to 1805. The estate cultivates eleven hectares of vineyards within the Penedès DO appellation, situated between the Serra de l’Ordal and the Montserrat massif. The grape variety portfolio includes traditional varieties such as Xarel.lo and Macabeu, alongside Chardonnay, Muscat de Frontignan, Sauvignon blanc, Valencià, Ull de llebre, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Operating organically and sustainably, the winery refrains from using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. In addition to still wines, the estate produces low-intervention sparkling wines under the guidance of Esteve Casals.
